To create a unique, creative swag that would depict some topic related to Graphic Design. The principles of design,
the Gestalt Principles seemed fun, yet the subtle method
of saying "design" without having to state the obvious.
Once this concept was embraced, creating icons for similarity,figure-ground, focal point, pattern, proximity, and closure was used to depict design principles.
inspiration
In the simplest terms, gestalt theory is based on the idea that the human brain will attempt to simplify and organize complex images or designs of many elements by subconsciously arranging the parts into an organized system that creates a whole, rather than just a series of disparate elements. Our brains are built to see structure and patterns for us to better understand the environment that we’re living in. I wanted to incorporate these principles into the design for this project.
